The low-cost alternative among metal halide lamps

Metal halide lamps with HQI quartz technology are first-generation metal halide lamps. These lamps operate on the basis of a discharge vessel (arc tube) made of high-temperature-resistant quartz that can withstand changes in temperature and is transparent.
