The basis of all light
Background or general lighting is the name given to the uniform lighting for a room and does not include other special lighting tasks in particular areas of the room. Background lighting is simply the basis of any lighting system.
The background lighting should always be glare-free, uniform and ecologically precious – particularly because it is more often in use than other types of lighting. Adequate background lighting can be provided for example by ceiling, pendant or surface-mounted luminaires, spotlights and fixtures in cable and rod systems or several wall lights. Choose between our efficient DECOSTAR and HALOPAR lamps – and with the ECO versions you can do the environment a good turn too. HALOGEN ECO lamps with screw bases are simple direct replacements for ordinary light bulbs.
